Ingredients should be cleaned well to remove sticking debris and contaminants. In most cases, all you need to do is cut the fruit into pieces for manual squeezing or to fit into the juicer. Seeds and pits must be removed prior to juicing.

Fruits are best juiced unpeeled since most of the nutrients are found here. Juice softer fruits and vegetables first. Hard fruits and large chunks may stick and clog the juicer, which prevents the softer ones from being extracted.
